Press Gang Printmakers

I moved to the South Hams five years ago, having lived and worked in Oxfordshire for 25 years. Having a love of drawing since childhood led me into painting at A level, which I intended to specialise in when I trained as a teacher. An inspirational ceramics tutor, however, changed my pathway and working with clay became a passion and my main subject during my college years.
Having spent many years bringing up my family I returned to teaching and also working on a variety of projects in primary schools in Oxfordshire involving dance and drama.
I completed a 3 Year City and Guilds Watercolour course, which encouraged me to experiment more with mixed media and different art techniques and helped me return to painting.
I am a member of Press Gang Printmakers and have been working with drypoint etching , collagraphs and printing plates created from a type of clay.
Other interests include Calligraphy, book making, papermaking and working with textiles.
