Hilary Soper is a founder member of 'Pressgang' and enjoys the creative interplay between painting and printmaking.

Working mainly in monotype and collagraph, images are usually abstract or liberated from reality to match a particular mood.
The influence of the nearby sea and the warmth of the home environment are usually felt, and a recent residency in Antarctica provided a powerful new stimulus.
With an etching press in the home studio printmaking can be an everyday affair, but the company, reassurance, drive and inventiveness of a working group - Pressgang - cannot be underestimated.
